National parks, wilderness areas, camping along a beautiful river, and any other intersects with nature can really sooth frayed nerves, bring a sense of peace to the soul, and rejuvenate the whole human system for challenges ahead. For me the great outdoors has been my cathedral of peace. I have purposely detoured off life's road as often as I can just to intersect with the intimate lives of most of North America's big game. I love to become invisible in their world, sitting under a tree waiting for them as they would slowly, cautiously, and ever so silently slip out of their cover, smell the air for scents of danger, listen for unnatural sounds, and every so slowly scan the parameters for movement or elements out of place.I love photographing their world so that I can share with others what I have seen and experienced. They say a photograph can speak volumes. Like many others, public speaking is a challenge, so I try to let my photos do the talking for me and hopefully others will be inspired to seek their peace in places where they intersect with wild.Dennis Blum
