I am painter, a graphic designer, a 3d Artist and an interior designer.
I am an artist and for the last decade I’ve been involved in creating visuals in one medium or another, from pencil and paper, oil and canvas to polygons and pixels. My current position is the one of a 3D Artist but in the past I’ve worked for a couple of agencies, my work being featured in the National Museum of Natural History, one of the oldest research institutions in the field of biodiversity and public education, for which I have created all the infotouch points graphics and interface design.
I have also been involved in visualizing the whole range of Yamaha bikes, where I was a member of the modeling team, and Adidas as well, thus my skill range is wide from low poly modeling and texturing to high poly detailed models of virtually anything from bikes and Sci-Fi weaponry to 3D Apparel.
I had graduated from the National University of Arts, from which I got my Bachelor of Arts, and afterwards my Master of Arts degree. I finished my PhD. thesis entitled ” Texture: Visual touch and emotion”. I have participated to more than 10 painting expositions, my paintings being displayed in Romania and outside, for example in Vienna, Atlanta, Milano, Washington.
I don’t know how my love for art came to me, but I think it runs in the family as my sister is a drawing teacher and my nephew is also very interested in painting. Emotion is what defines us as humans, and visual arts is probably one of the most powerful ways to convey what I think, feel and believe and this is why I’ve chosen it; I can touch people’s minds and hearts from 10.000 miles away, without even meeting them. Moreover, the fact that my art can influence someone to create something, like writing a poem or a song is something even more amazing for me.
Art is everywhere around us, in all shapes and forms. It just takes a good eye to spot it, and a great one to create it.
