Erik Postnieks | Abstract Rebellion
Erik Postnieks, founder of Abstract Rebellion, creates digital art that bridges traditional artistic movements with modern technology. Specializing in the "Art of Science" genre which focuses on the beauty of the microscopic and cellular, his work ranges from geometric hard edge works, chromatic abstracts, portraits, and op art to fluid, expressionistic pieces. Bold color harmonies and dynamic forms unite Erik's work.
Artistic Vision
I have an extensive collection of 13K artworks designed for modern spaces that spans twenty genres. Drawing inspiration from microscopic patterns and scientific phenomena, my work captures the entire emotional spectrum—from meditative cool tones that invite introspection to near-neon bursts that energize the viewer. Faint silhouettes and ethereal hints emerge from swirling pigments, suggesting surreal narratives beneath the surface. I have an extensive collection of Kandinsky and Miro-inspired works blended with other modern artists, which look great in contemporary spaces. We are also transparent about the artists who inspired us, if there were any. Click on the artwork and read the rich description, which reads like an art critic summary and includes artistic influences, genre, style, technique, artist's intent, and the type of collector it would appeal to.
Technical Excellence
Each Abstract Rebellion artwork is a limited edition of five, produced at a minimum resolution of 144 megapixels, meeting gallery-quality standards (300+ dpi) at sizes up to 37" × 55" or greater.
Collectors receive full commercial rights, ensuring every acquisition remains as unique as its owner.
The Collection is Only as Good as the Curation
Abstract Rebellion uses the auction houses' advanced AI techniques to vet its works for superior quality. Each artwork is scored from 1 to 70; we give this score at the end of the filenames. 45-60 is considered gallery quality. 61-70 is considered collector quality. We do a second curation pass with a team of three expert art curators to assure that our collection interests and inspires. Take the AI score as just an interesting opinion--one factor in curation. How should you judge our art?
First Impressions:
• What is your gut reaction when you first see it?
• Does it immediately grab your attention or leave you curious?
Emotional Impact:
• Beyond just making you happy, does it evoke a deeper emotion or memory?
• How does it make you feel overall—is it calming, energizing, thought-provoking?
Personal Connection:
• Does it reflect something about you or your experiences?
• Can you see it sparking conversations or resonating with your personal story?
Aesthetic Fit:
• Does it look good in your space, and how does it interact with the room’s atmosphere?
• Does its color, form, and style complement your environment?
Narrative and Meaning:
• What story does it tell, and do you connect with that narrative?
• Does it challenge your perspective or invite you to interpret its meaning in your own way?
We hope some of our artworks connect with you on all these levels.
